Systems Engineering in accordance with SAE ARP4754A

SAE Aerospace Recommended Practice, ARP4754A or EUROCAE ED-79A, published in 2010, provides guidelines for the development of civil aircraft and aircraft systems. It covers the entire system life cycle from concept through to certification, outlining the processes and activities that need to be performed. It also indicates how other supporting processes, e.g. ED‑12C/DO-178C, ED-80/DO-254, ED-124/DO-297, SAE ARP4761, are integrated with ARP4754A to accomplish an overall integration and orchestration of the systems engineering effort. In addition it describes underlying processes that enable implementing modifications for aircraft and aircraft systems during the operation phase. This seminar aims to convey an understanding of the underlying principles and processes, employing appropriate examples and short exercises, thus providing an appreciation and understanding for subsequent application and appropriate tailoring of ARP4754A for implementing systems engineering within the own environment.
